This is a true one-of-one (1/1) piece of hobby and sports history: a 1988 Topps Vault FINAL Negative Slide Rookie, encapsulated and authenticated by BGS, featuring Bo Jackson, the greatest two-sport athlete of all time.

I purchased this piece directly from Topps approximately 15+ years ago, where it arrived sealed in its original Topps Vault case. That sealed case was then sent to BGS, who cracked the case and authenticated the original photographic negative housed within the slide.

Why This Card Matters

In 1988, Topps produced only TWO NFL cards of Bo Jackson:

• #327 — his standard Rookie Card

• #325 — this Team Leaders (TL) card

This example contains the actual original negative used in Topps’ production process — not a reprint, not a copy, but the source material itself. The negative housed within the slide is in Gem Mint condition and represents a final-stage Topps Vault artifact that is now 35+ years old.

This is as close as it gets to owning the origin of a Bo Jackson rookie.
